Being prepared is an IPSII Inc. Project. IPSII Inc. is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization.

Being prepared is a Grant of National Significance Funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Developmental Disabilities. Our major activity is to provide in-depth training with individuals with developmental disabilities on how to develop their own Emergency Preparedness Plan with supports.

Trainings will be targeted to individuals who are Medicaid eligible and currently are living in the community in individual or group homes and their families, but are at risk for institutional placement. 

Who is eligible for this program:  People with developmental disabilities and their parents.

Training Dates:  

• Cycle 1 June 2nd and June 9th;

• Cycle 2 June 23rd and June 30th;

• Cycle 3 July 21st and July 28th

•  Fair is on August 18th

Time of Trainings:    8:30 am Light Breakfast.   9:00 am to 2:00pm. Light lunch is provided

·        Each participant will receive a $50 stipend at the end of the training day including the fair

·        Each participant will receive a Go Kit Backpack

·        Participants must agree to complete their own Emergency Preparedness Plan and attend two trainings and the Fair.
