A message from Julie

 Thank you for visiting the IPSII Inc. website.  I am sure you are wondering what IPSII Inc. is about? IPSII Inc. is about creating welcoming schools, communities and workplaces for people with disabilities and their families. Join us in our mission to increase Independence, Productivity, Self Determination, Integration & Inclusion [IPSII] for people with disabilities and their families. Please check back for more information about our three projects: Pathways MN Youth Center; On Eagles Wings; Pathways MN Emergency Preparedness Family Support Center Planning Grant.

OUR MISSION:

To increase Independence, Productivity, Self Determination, Integration &Inclusion (IPSII) For people with disabilities and their families  


OUR NON-PROFIT   

  •  Was formed in 2002 by a group of parents of children with disabilities

  • Is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization

  • Our Board of Directors is comprised of people with disabilities, their families and service providers. At least 50% of our Board of Directors live in North Minneapolis

  • Is customer driven to ensure cultural competency and best practice

  • We achieve our mission through our grant activities, analysis of public policy and outreach to traditionally under served communities.

  • All of our grant activities, products and outreach efforts are FREE. Typical supports for participants include reimbursement for mileage and other supports dependent on the project.


WE BELIEVE   

  • Each person is a unique individual, a citizen, having worth and leadership potential, no matter their life challenges

  • All communities depend on the capacity of people, on their fullness, on their possibility

  • Through training, advocacy and increased participation, we will initiate adaptive change in our communities creating welcoming schools, neighborhoods and workplaces for people with disabilities and their families.

    • IPSII Inc.'s MN Pathways Youth Center is Minnesota's Youth Center. Pathways MN Youth Center is one of 22 Centers throughout the US.

  • MN Partners in Policymaking  http://www.partnersinpolicymaking.com/

    • MN Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities Partners in Policymaking® developed Partners in 1987. Partners teach parents and self advocates the power of  advocacy with the goal of  creating adaptive change in the way people with disabilities are supported, viewed, taught, live and work.
