 Thank you for visiting the IPSII Inc. website.  I am sure you are wondering what IPSII Inc. is about? IPSII Inc. is about creating welcoming schools, communities and workplaces for people with disabilities and their families. Join us in our mission to increase Independence, Productivity, Self Determination, Integration & Inclusion [IPSII] for people with disabilities and their families. OUR MISSION:

To increase Independence, Productivity, Self Determination, Integration &Inclusion (IPSII) For people with disabilities and their families  

OUR NON-PROFIT   

•  Was formed in 2002 by a group of parents of children with disabilities

• Is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization

• Our Board of Directors is comprised of people with disabilities, their families and service providers. At least 50% of our Board of Directors live in North Minneapolis

• Is customer driven to ensure cultural competency and best practice

• We achieve our mission through our grant activities, analysis of public policy and outreach to traditionally under served communities.

• All of our grant activities, products and outreach efforts are FREE. Typical supports for participants include reimbursement for mileage and other supports dependent on the project.

WE BELIEVE   

• Each person is a unique individual, a citizen, having worth and leadership potential, no matter their life challenges

• All communities depend on the capacity of people, on their fullness, on their possibility

• Through training, advocacy and increased participation, we will initiate adaptive change in our communities creating welcoming schools, neighborhoods and workplaces for people with disabilities and their families.

  • IPSII Inc.'s MN Pathways Youth Center is Minnesota's Youth Center. Pathways MN Youth Center is one of 22 Centers throughout the US.

  • MN Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities Partners in Policymaking® developed Partners in 1987. Partners teach parents and self advocates the power of  advocacy with the goal of  creating adaptive change in the way people with disabilities are supported, viewed, taught, live and work.

  • Our next training program begins in the fall of 2010

• Pathways MN Emergency Preparedness Family Support Center Planning Grant

  • People with disabilities and their families having input and oversight of Center

    • On Eagles Wings participants  will review Center's plan outcomes, products, and make recommendations, that will be integrated into the Center’s Continuous Improvement Process. 

    • Pathways Advisory will meet quarterly to review Center's plan all outcomes, products, and make recommendations that will be integrated into the Center’s Continuous Improvement Process

  • Continuous Improvement Process [CIP]  "listen-learn-evaluate-change"

    • Through the CIP all outcomes, comments and data collection are gathered and evaluated, individuals with developmental disabilities and their families will be equal partners with agencies. The CIP focuses on transparency, quality and cultural competency providing an ideal balance for the proposed Center

  • Planning Committee

    • The planning Committee will receive information at least quarterly on Center product development, timelines, outcomes of alpha trainings

    • The planning Committee will meet four times this year

    • The planning Committee will assist the program director in writing a plan to submit to the Administration on Developmental Disabilities in September 2010

  • Alpha Testing

    • Through the Center's Alpha testing, at least 30 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families will develop  their own Emergency Preparedness Plan that will address winter storms and H1N1 pandemic.

    • Results of the Alpha testing will be integrated into the Center's plan.
